British cyclist Sarah Storey, 46, has secured her 19th Paralympic gold medal in a thrilling sprint finish. She narrowly beat French teenager Heidi Gaugain in the 71km road race in Paris.

Storey's victory adds to her impressive Paralympic career, spanning nine Games and including gold medals in both cycling and swimming events since 1992.
China Sets New World Record
In other Paralympic news, China set a new world record in the 4x100-meter universal relay para athletics. Their team clocked 45.09 seconds in the heats, surpassing the previous record set by the United States in Tokyo.
